It has an amazing list of past winners, which includes Kelemen Nae, Algernon Dealy, multiple-times best cobbler of the season Sieuwerd Schimmel, Julian Pope or Bartoli Rivera.
The race uses to be a shortened version of the Roubaix Classic, with a more affordable length (168km), but the same tough route. It starts in Arras, and hits the cobbles in the first 20km, therefore ensuring a vibrant race all the way through.
The last and decisive part of the race mimics that of Roubaix Classic, hitting the tough sections of Mons-en-Pévèle, the road to Ennevelin, the road to Bourghelles and from there to Wannehain, the Camphin-en-Pévèle and the mythic Carrefour de l'Arbre. The race totals 42km of cobbles, which is in percentage the highest amount of cobbles in a top division race.

Description
The terrain in Pre-Roubaix hardly includes any climbs and has only easy downhills. The terrain has no hills and has many very long and flat distances. The ending of the stage is an easy sprint terminated by the fastest rider in the leading group. The route is very technical. The roads include very hard and tough cobblestone paves.
