Historically known as one of the centers of trade and culture of the Inca civilization, Popayán is full of cathedrals and churches dating from centuries back.
Having been given the local nickname of "The White City", this city has attracted interest from many events organizer across the world, including the OCM, who has implemented a lower-league race in order to highlight the landscape of this gorgeous city. Located at an average altitude of 1760 meters, this city includes many touristic attractions that can be seen while racing here, which yet does not make for an easy race at all.
Known as one of the most complicated climbing races in the novice division of the OCM Tour, this Colombian race features some of the hardest climbs in the country as well as some very tricky hills, including a steep hill climbing finish. Historically, climbing specialists supported by average downhill guides seemed to perform very well in this race.

Description
The terrain in Popayáh includes many steep and hard climbs and has an average difficulty of downhills. The terrain hardly includes any hills and has no flat distances. The finishinging climb of the stage is awfully steep and tough, demanding everything from the riders. The route isn't technical at all.
