On the way the riders have to pass the Great Belt Bridge, which was supposed to be the worlds longest suspension bridge when it opened. The construction got delayed and as a result a longer bridge was opened just 2 months before it was. It did however succeed in making this race possible.
After making landfall on Zealand the riders will head north to tackle the hills of Western Zealand. Once they get to Holbæk the riders head East on wide roads with few hills all the way to Copenhagen, where the race will finish just outside of Tivoli.
The race route is so iconic that the race organisers of Fast on Wheels simply copied the route for the final stage of the race. They did shorten the route a bit but cutting some of the hills. Since FoW is just a division 5 race you have to watch the WT race if you want to see the best riders compete.
