At the banks of the Ob river there lies the city of Novosibirsk. The largest city of Asian Russia and the one that reached one million people the quickest from all other cities in the world. Novosibirsk needed only 70 years to accomplish that fact.

Like the city itself, the riders start at the banks of the Ob river just outside the station of the famous Trans Siberian Express. The riders follow the Ob river south towards the Ob sea, a man made lake build to win electricity for the city, before it heads into the town of Akademgorodok. Akademgorodok, a town that hosts more than 35 research institutes and universities and only that. It is just a suburb of Novosibirsk.

Northeast the route takes the rider into the backland of Novosibirsk and passes villages like Koltsovo and Plotnikovo. After these rural towns the riders will be tested in the hills around Novosibirsk and although not steep Zherebtsovo has some nice uphill sections. Heading west, the riders see Novosibirsk before turning right again and follow the route north to Mochishche.

From Mochishche the peloton heads back into Novosibirsk entering the town at Kalininskiy distrikt of which nothing important is to be told before they enter Tsentralnyy distrikt. Here the riders will see the major shopping center of Novosibirsk if they have time but they are probably busy preparing themselves for the final kilometers. The finish line is at a sideroad of the gread Krassny prospekt, Oktyabrskaya magistral, because here the riders will finish with the blessing of Saint Nicholas and right beside Sibirskiye prostory, the statue of Siberia. At this place the riders will receive their medals and the three best sprinters will be cheered by the fans.
