Mount Washington was known as Agiocochook, or "Home of the Great Spirit", before it was renamed in honor of the Revolutionary War general and first President of the United States. It will take great spirit to conquer this stage. General Classification hopefuls will expend the last of their climbing legs on this short uphill time trial.
All attention will be on the stone-walled Tip-Top House as the riders watch the finish clock to see whether their hopes for a stage win or a fine place in the General Classification have survived the day.
