Mons-Turnhout starts off at the "Grand Place de Mons". The peloton leaves the city going north through the "Bois d'Hasnon" on to Flanders. After only 43 kilometers into the race the peloton enters "Geraardsbergen" where they will face the "Muur van Geraardsbergen" and the "Bosberg". Positioning is crucial in this part of the race. The strongest riders will want to anticipate because these short but very steep cobble climbs are known for cutting a peloton into to pieces.

After the Bosberg the peloton sets off to Brussels. The road keeps going up and down. The confusion caused by the "Muur" and the "Bosberg" could play in the advantage of the riders in front in this part of the race. However when the riders leave the city of Bruxelles going north through the province of Antwerp the road gets flat. In this part of the race an organized and chasing peloton could make up for the damage caused in the beginning of the race.

At about 25 kilometers from the finishing line the riders arrive at Herentals and it is here that another opportunity presents itself to create a defining break away. The riders will leave the main road and set road for Kasterlee through the forest where they will have to deal with a 14 kilometer long section of gravel roads. Towards the end of this section lies the "Kabouterberg". A short but very nasty gravel climb made for real power punchers.

Arriving at Kasterlee the riders enter the last 10 kilometers of the race. The road to Turnhout is completely flat. In the city center of Turnhout at 1,5 kilometers from the finish line lies the "Otterstraat". This 300 meters long cobbled street is the last opportunity to make a solo attempt. With only one kilometer to go the riders turn left on to the "Noord-Brabantlaan". This road is very flat and very wide so if there are any team mates left, a lead out can be created. When the riders cut the intersection with the "Steenweg op Oosthoven" into the last 300 meters on to the Bridge crossing the "Vaart" the road goes up again. The road keeps going up until the finishing line which invites for an awesome sprint between the strongest punchers of the day.
