Being the last stop before a lot of talented riders will go to America for the well famous 'Race of the Minuteman', Kolárovo - Kolárovo is great to get into shape for this great race. Therefore it won't be a surprise if a lot of riders will come to Slovakia to practice and take it easy. However, all really good riders would love to test their legs before they are going to the promised land.

Sprinters, climbers and hillers will all have a real change of winning this race. Starting in Kolárovo, which is at a height of 111 m (364 ft) the peleton will quickly ride towards the farms of family Èiernik, which lies right next to the river 'Little Danube'. After riding for 45 kilometres next to this river, which will for sure be used by the sprinting teams to draft, pulling the peleton forwards. After this road of pure hell, the climbers will get into their rhythm. With Mt. Ve?ký Kame? luring, the riders will rise up to 1467m with an average climbing percentage of 7,1%. The sprinters will have to hang on to finish this race up front.

After this exhausting climb, the riders will descend to 236m, where they will have to challenge the famous hills of Brožovaná Pružina, which will go up and down all the way up to 12 kilometres of the finish. The race will end with a cirle around the city, which the riders will have to complete 4 times. When the bell goes and the riders are up for the final dash, the climbers have to hope the sprinters are exhausted and trust their own sprinting legs.

The winner will be awarded the 'Zlatá Kola', the golden wheel, by mayor Imrich Árgyusi. But there won't be any time to rest. The plane to America leaves, for participants and cycling fans, in two hours. Good luck to the best rider.
