The area is mainly populated by indigenous mountain tribes and the local economy runs on tourism and agriculture.
The peleton might have a tough day because this region is known to have all four seasons in one day. The views however will more then likely make up for this because this area is also know for it's rice terraces which creates stunning views.

Description
The terrain in Hong Lien Son Cycling Day includes many hard climbs and has very hard downhills. The terrain includes a few hills and has no flat distances. The finishing of the stage is a very steep tough climb giving many possibilities for the best climbers in the peleton. The route isn't technical at all. Wind speed: 4,3 m/s.
