While the circuit itself is not excessively difficult, it still requires precision, and the top specialists in time trialing are expected to emerge as the ultimate victors. Cyclists must make precision turns and have excel bike control essential for success. Additionally, the race is often impacted by strong coastal winds, adding an extra layer of difficulty that tests adaptability.
Participants race along a scenic route that culminates at Puerto Banús, where the riders will see luxury yachts and the Mediterranean Sea making their way to the finish line. The winner will be awarded the "Boquerón de oro" trophy, a tribute to the rich maritime heritage of Marbella’s port. After the race, some successful teams opt to host an after-party full of surprises for both riders and lucky invitees, while rest of the teams will start preparing for the next battle the OCM calendar has to offer.
