Rolling out of the starting hut at Mt Nebo village, the riders head off one by one towards Brisbane. 20 km of rolling descent will provide a supreme test of nerves, bike handling, and faith in tire manufacturers! Riders will reach speeds of 90 km/hour in places as they flow through the D'aguilar National Park. Hilly pinches along the way provide a chance to cool off the brakes, while anyone overcooking a corner will suddenly find themselves enrolled in flight school. The fans stand ready in the hilly spots, cheering on each rider's bravery and skill. A quick dash to the finish line as the suburbs of Brisbane appear, and the race is over! Those that reach the podium are rewarded with the traditional winner's beverage, a pint of Brisbane's finest golden lager.
