Cetinje ITT   

This Time trial takes place in the old imperial capital of Montenegro , Cetinje.

The riders will start from downtown and have an easy first flat 2km in the city. They will then cycle around the Lovcen National Park , in direction of the village of Bjelosi , facing slopes of around 11% all the way. This Time trial takes place in the old imperial capital of Montenegro , Cetinje.

The riders will start from downtown and have an easy first flat 2km in the city. They will then cycle around the Lovcen National Park , in direction of the village of Bjelosi , facing slopes of around 11% all the way. A bit later , they will have some easier slopes for around 5km and then start the ascencion to the Mausoleum of Njegos family , at 1660m altitude. The road is quite narrow and not steady at all , but averages around 12%.They will turn back and have a very dangerous descent and head to the road leading the the top of the Lovcen mountain. This is by far the hardest part of the Time Trial , with some slopes going over 15%.

If by then , the rider still has something in the tank , he has a good chance to win the Time Trial. They will then continue the road for some kilometers until reaching thje settlement of Raicevici and the brand new P1 road , and despite some occasional hills and climbs , the road is pretty straight forward and going downhill until the settlement of Dubovik . The corniche road offers some spectacular views and is pretty technical and becomes flat again until the suburb village of Bajice , which leads to Cetinje and the end of the Time Trial.

In general there is no strong wind on this race , and riders must have an exceptional knowledge of the road , which alternates with very steep but irregular climbs , hills , and dangerous downhill portions on very narrow roads.
