Berlin Zeitfahrt is an individual time trial race in the heart of Berlin. Time trialling is the simplest of competitive formats: a race against the clock, with riders starting a minute apart. It’s known as ‘The Race of Truth’ because there’s nowhere to hide, no one to draft behind; just you and the bike and the thumping of your heart. Oh, and a clock ticking. Winning Berlin Zeitfahrt depends only on each rider's strength and endurance.
The 48km course is mainly flat with light climbs on the Havelchaussee. The riders get to ride past world-famous sites like the Brandenburg Gate and the Potsdamer Platz, providing a scenic backdrop for race against the clock.
