Known for its ski slopes in winter and serene trails in summer, the area transforms for one day into a battleground for the most determined climbers.
The 13-kilometre individual time trial launches from the village centre and quickly climbs into the rugged heart of the Pyrenees. Narrow mountain roads twist through dense pine forests, open pastures, and steep rock faces, demanding both power and precision. The changing gradients test every aspect of a rider’s pacing and equipment.
At altitude, the air grows thin and the silence sharper. Each turn brings sweeping views over the Comapedrosa Natural Park, a stark reminder of the challenge below. When the riders crest the final ascent and the valley of Arinsal lies far beneath, the clocks will reveal who has best mastered the mountain’s rhythm.
