Not breaking news, but it's still striking to me how inadequate this game's economy is. Lack of passive income, the disparity between training $ spent and retained rider value, the money pit of scouting... it all favors teams that relentlessly try to poach other teams' riders, rather than train their own. The DP/RS system is very punishing to small teams, and it is another price we pay for trying to sustain our own team without trying to take from others.
The most exciting part of the game (imho) is not knowing how good your rider will be until training is complete. Unfortunately, the economy serves only to minimize the frequency of that excitement, not support it.
Because of the ultra-low market, it's 10000 times more efficient to buy trained riders than to train them ourselves. Bad equilibrium there
Yeah training costs are prohibitive... by the time you achieve a team full of riders you've trained yourself, they've all aged into obsolescence.
Theres a lot that could be done but it seems like everything thats been done only makes things even more difficult to do. Not as fun as when I first started.
I agree. It seems like over the years the economy and the game in general has become even more stringent. Perhaps training costs need to be reduced in order to prompt people to train their riders instead of poaching them.
Make it so that you can hire one of your retired riders and you make him be a scout. Then theres no fees for scouting. Also lower the cost of training or eliminate it.
