Going Global: Red and White

World Going Global: Red and White

Our international scouting mission just made a pit stop in Denmark, the literal birthplace of OCM. Our scout came back with a name, a set of stats, and a dream... but unfortunately, that’s where the journey ends for this particular prospect.

  The "Almost" Signing: Troels Mosegaard
We took a long, hard look at Troels Mosegaard. At 22, he’s got the foundation of a climber, but when we crunched the numbers, the math just wasn’t "mathing" for Team WonderDee’s future.

  The Profile:

CL (Climbing): Good Potential (Currently 41)

  HL (Hilly): Small Potential

Everything Else: Pretty much "None" or "Small."

Look, we want to be supportive, but we have to be realistic. Troels doesn’t quite have the ceiling to be a top-tier teammate, and his chances of snagging a Danish national shirt—in one of the most competitive nations in the game—are basically zero.

A Note to Our Scout: I think I need to clarify the mission. Just because we’ve signed a rider from Japan, and now scouted Denmark, it doesn't mean we are only looking for countries with red and white flags. We aren't trying to copy
AnnoDomini aesthetic! Let's expand the color palette next time, shall we?

Denmark Respecting the Danish OCM Royalty
You can’t talk about Danish cycling in OCM without tipping your cap. This is the "Holy Land" of the game, founded by the creator Nick (Team Zyte). Denmark has produced some of the most terrifyingly dominant teams to ever click a "Register" button.

Just look at these all-time point totals:

Jonas Pro Cycling: A staggering 143,408 points.
  Team Tirilla: 96,137 points.
  Cycling Team FPS: 82,636 points.
  ABK: 78,759 points.
  Nobodies: 62,087 points.

And the riders? Absolute icons. We’re talking about the sprinting machine Eddie Ulrichsen (still active with nearly 20k points!), "The Beast" Lean Ahnfeldt-Mollerup, and the legendary sprinter Nicolai Hermansen.

With a history like that, we can’t bring in a Danish rider unless they’re truly special. The bar is just too high!

  Training Room Update:
While the scout is back on the road, our current talents are grinding away in the gym.

Japan Kaji Sho: We have some bittersweet news. Kaji hit his potential ceiling in Flat road at just 44 points. We were really pulling for a 49 to give him that extra engine, but the "talent gods" had other plans. He’s now pivoting his focus entirely to Sprinting. If he can't out-pull them on the flat, he’ll just have to out-kick them at the line!

Norway Steffen Tveit: No news is good news here. Steffen is still deep in his flat road training block, building the base he needs to survive those grueling hilly classics.

The hunt continues! Where should we send the scout next—somewhere with a blue flag, maybe?
