Deuring shakes of mañana mañana

Written by Team Oasis at 21:22 18/4-2016

The beauty sleep is finally over. Seasons after two great wins overseas, Team Oasis shook off the Murican ghost. We have now won a major tour in division one as well: Vuelta de los Castillos.
For seasons it has been our favourite place to hang out, the Mediterranean part of Spain. We usually start with relaxing and training near Andalucia. After a few days of tapas, gazpacho and flamenco we head towards Valencia. Two races have our attention and the rest doesn't matter much.
Maybe it has all been a bit too convenient, as our result curve seemed to catch a downward spiral. Jim Deuring felt the urge to break that pattern. Jim knew he doesn't have many chances left, so he attacked the tour like never before. Not only he managed to keep the lead in the final TT, a discipline he usually struggles with, he also grabbed our 50th win.
We thank Jim Deuring for his formidable performance. We now consider whether we keep him, give him opportunities elsewhere or offer him a retirement at our team.
Off to the party! (Join us at Casa de las Conchas)
