Like last season Erwin Schreuder proved to be in good fitness for one of his Captain races at Chennai-Pondicherry.
Popping pills is a Dutch thing, but of course no illegal drugs were used according to Team Manager Ebbe Spas. The so called Flying Dutchman Erwin Schreuder simply outran his rivals at the finishing sprint using his superb André Greipel legs!
- I did my Greipel thing and really did well at both downhills and the sprint. Especially R&R - Rey and Rowzie - helped me with a very nice lead out train. . Worked out so well. But now it is party time in the shower after that victory, Erwin told the press.
- We have planned the Chennai-Pondicherry for a long time doing the perfect sprint tactic, so that paid off today. I am happy that the team did so well listening to their boss. WE DO NOT USE DOPING, WE JUST WIN! Erwin Schreuder was the strongest rider out there today!, the proud Ebbe Spas yelled to the press, when questions about doping came up.
- Of course we still now and then use the Danish star Bjarne Riis for counselling on tactics and visions. But being a dope doctor he is not. We do clean racing at Formand's house, Ebbe Spas secured at the press meeting.
