The epic Team Galacticos of Cycling - aka. Team Formand United - had the race under control today. Erzurum - Ispir was almost a walk in the park for the team owned by Team Manager Ebbe Spas.
Erwin Schreuder, the new flying Dutchman of the team, claimed the victory safely in a downhill sprint. Not doped - of course - and flying around in the pedals elegant as Cippolini, he was hardly threatened by his competitors. His team mates secured a high pace and no break aways to be worth noting.
- I was a bit surprised to win, because it was some years ago since my last victory. But we followed Ebbe's supreme tactics and swallowed plenty of müsli bars before the last sprint. That really gave us a good performance for sure, Erwin said to the press. .
- Cadeau to the team mates today! Erwin did very well, but his team mates really did tough and perfect all day long here in the Turkish heat. . I look forward to have a look at the world rankings the next days. After getting 2, 2 and 1 in the last three races, we really have the Galacticos Power Glove now, eh!?
