After a breathtaking ride today, the Team Manager at Team Formand United, Ebbe Spas, changed his view on ultra climber Eugenio Pita.
- He is not The Pita anymore, he is the Super Pita of the World indeed!, he yelled at the press meeting after Clásica de los Pirineos.
Today the Colombian climber fetched his second Gold medal of the season, when the opponents couldn't resist the pressure from the acclaimed "Team Galacticos of climbing" at the last climb!
- I am now no. 43 on the World list, which is my best ever. And now finally no. 1 on the Colombia ranks too! We will celebrate with a golden shower and some pitas, The Pita said and quickly went to the team bus in order to celebrate the win.
- It was one of our best mountain races this season for sure, and we are shooting at all the other teams with Galacticos shots........It's good to see Eugenio Pita fulfilling his ambitions winning this stage. He deserves the victory more than anyone else, said the proud manager Ebbe Spas
