It was truly an interesting race day for Team Formand United that netted two top-10 results on the dusty, long route in Tarbela Dam Dash. Which was enough for penetrating the classement again, going into Division 2!
The African "Black Star" Fresnel Kikunda finished 2nd, but only rode the race as a Super Domestique for the versatile mountain monster Oddvar "Odd" Helgesen.
- Oddvar really did some amazing prep work and truly was in Top form for the race today, but sadly he ended up too tired at the end to hang on for the podium. But at the end of the day, we are super satisfied. Fresnel really proved to be a super man after that sprint, Team Manager Ebbe Spas laughs and conitnues:
- Yes, maybe Oddvar prepped too much and ate too many müsli bars with DynEPO.. We will evaluate later intern with the team.
- Oddvar Helgesen had an off day, and DH guide Jo De Smedt suffered from a crash, so I've never been more satisfied with a result for both me and the team. SO amazing being among the second best riders in the world now again. I know Ebbe will pick me for a captain role the next time, Fresnel smiles.
