Team Formand United's brown eyed heart breaker Lauro Falco - aka. Italian Stallion - really had a nice day at Ile de Beauté alpine. Although a mechanical defect destroyed his first part of the race, the second part was close to perfect.
He managed to get contact to the top of the peloton and ended up grabbing a bronze medal after an intense sprint. It was his first podium this season.
- I was happy because I often get Top 10s instead of podiums. Didn't expect to win, because my gear defect was so crazy and lasted several minutes. A cheer to the team. They really helped me out today, Falco says.
The manager Ebbe Spas was a little more silent, but still happy.
- Falco often gets a little tired during the season and doesn't get enough podiums, though his talent is quite huge. Today he really showed us how a race should be, Ebbe Spas tells the press.
Spas is though a little angry because his talent factory has gotten a huge set back after the successful breeding of Oddvar Helgesen.
- I do not know if our prep doctors have gotten too soft, but our next own talent from the academy, Jorekursson, has totally flopped after his injury this season. He is a nice help rider, but I fear he has maxed way too early. The injury destroyed his left leg nerves.
