Kind of race shape lacking, young ultraclimber Lauro Falco looked a bit clumsy today at the epic race Critérium Tourmalet. He though finished 4 th ahead of the other couple of favorites.
The stage ended in a breakaway consisting of three very strong mountain riders that succeeded with their task at the finish line.
- Our Italian Stallion was maybe one of the biggest favorites today, but he didn't succeed super much although be beat the rest of the peloton. We had a couple of mecanical errors and sleepy old off day riders. I should have brought more Omega3 and DYNepo, Manager Ebbe Spas laughed to the press.
- Our former mountain Cap Arvid Fagerli suffered from a crash that really influenced his performance. He was the second most important help rider today. But I am quite satisfied with my ride. Felt a little rusty like an old bike. Not had enough races at the start of the season, Lauro Falco said.
