Season 74 review

Written by ProgressTeam at 22:30 15/10-2025

This was one of the toughest and one of the least successful season for ProgressTeam in the history of our participation in OCM. A week before the end of the season, we only had 5 results and just 1 win. The final week saved the situation, and we finished the season with 10 results, 4 of which were race wins. Injuries to leaders, missed top forms, and worst of all, the accidental break away win at the start of the season, which caused a promotion to a higher division, completely destroyed our planned calendar for this season.

The hero of the season is, of course, Laos Kholadeth Vongsamany, who achieved 3 victories, 2 seconds, and 1 third, and who wins the South Africa Tour of the Western Cape for the 3rd time in a row.

  Key statistic:
  - 10 results - 4 wins, 3 seconds, 1third and 2 others
  - 882 points - 168th overall, 7th National

  Best riders:
  - Laos Kholadeth Vongsamany – 3 wins, 2 seconds, 1 third (550 points)
  - Spain Gabriel Lanos – 1 win, 5th on Denmark VCK Classic (190 points)
  - Poland Gerald Imiołek – 1 second (88 points)

  Winning races:
  - Denmark Vejle Omegn
  - Iceland Selfoss Hills
  - South Africa Tour of the Western Cape – General Classification
  - South Africa Tour of the Western Cape – Stage 4

  Departure and arrival hall:
  Welcomes:
  - Poland Bazyli Wolski – junior from our academy, already sold
  - Germany Leopold Engels – hill helper talent, soon on transfer market

  Goodbyes:
  - New Zeland Robbie Tuiaki

  Goals for season 75:
  - South Africa Tour of the Western Cape with Vongsamany
  - Norway Norway Tour with Aberg
  - Ukraine Karpaty Tyr with Imiolek – propably the last tour as a leader
  - Denmark VCK Classic with Vongsamany or Lanos
