Team PRS saw the retirement of four long serving professionals during Season 75 —Ted Wibier (NED), Piero Lamattina (ITA), Izak De Meulder (BEL), and Gerwig Kraus (GER)—whose combined careers span 1,236 professional race starts (Wibier 302; Lamattina 277; De Meulder 403; Kraus 254).
Across the peloton, these riders have been recognized for their resilience, team spirit, and consistency—hallmarks that defined their impact at PRS and on the international stage.

Ted Wibier (Netherlands)
A mainstay at PRS since June 2022 through October 2025, Wibier concludes a 302 race career (including 290 starts for PRS) and two national team appearances for the Netherlands.
Renowned for downhill strength (DH 83) and solid climbing (CL 74), he earned 18 podium finishes, including 6 victories.
Wibier’s presence became a fixture in events such as Black Gravel Trophy, Arthur’s Pass, and Lewis Pass – Greymouth, showcasing unwavering commitment and team spirit (71%) to the end.

Piero Lamattina (Italy)
Lamattina retires after 277 professional race starts and 15 national team appearances, including showings at Barcelona–Cuenca, Oslo Grand Prix, and Bukarest–Sinaia.
A downhill specialist (technical rating 87), he captured three career podiums, highlighted by 2nd place in The Two Pass Tour (Youth Classification, Season 61).
His journey took him through AK Pro Race, Sicco, and PRS, earning a reputation for grit and team contribution over more than a decade in the sport.
Reflecting on his career, Lamattina said: “Cycling has given me unforgettable experiences, friendships, and challenges that shaped who I am today.” He plans to remain close to the sport through coaching and youth development.

Izak De Meulder (Belgium)
A pillar of consistency at Team PRS since July 2021, De Meulder retires at 38 with 403 races and two national appearances.
His record includes 14 podiums and 1 career win, with notable results such as his win on Linares - Jaén and his second places onMuelle San Carlos - San José & Taith o Bannau Brycheiniog, among others.
A versatile rider, De Meulder excelled as a hill specialist (74) with sprint (68) and time trial (64) capability, underpinned by exceptional team spirit (92%).

Gerwig Kraus (Germany)
Kraus, a valued PRS rider since 2021, steps away at 38 after 254 races.
Known for his strength in sprinting and consistent professionalism, Kraus’s experience and commitment have made him a respected teammate across numerous international events.
