Woah, I certainly didn't expect getting the Youth Classification Jersey at Monte Rosa but here we are.
The king stage was a huge setback for us. Muhammed wasn't at his best and finished 10th, leaving us with a significant gap to overcome. It was unlucky but preparation wasn't perfect so I wasn't too mad about it. Prior to the Tour starting I didn't even think It was a possibility to get top 5 since the team is behind in terms of experience and the quality of the opposition riders is pretty high.
Regardless of this, the performance at Stage 4 was incredible, only surpassed by Gable who was far superior, finishing second on the stage and recovering all the time he needed. After this, the last stage was the only thing separating us from getting youth maillot and we got it by the smallest margin in the history of the Monte Rosa Tour. Also got the 8th place in the General classification which is a pretty solid result all things considered, congrats to Hurrican and Gable for his dominating win!
This jersey is a special reward and I'll be sure to remember it :D
