Thurston wins odd jersey

Written by Millican at 21:33 21/11-2020

On the completion of Linares - Jaen last night, AusCycling officials presented Nate Thurston with an unusual star-studded jersey. Thurston was quoted saying "I'm thrilled to be Australian champion, I've dreamed of wearing the jersey for so long! But what is this...thing? Where is the green and gold?" Chat Tabloids has discovered that the sanctioning fight between AusCycling and the former Cycling Australia has become so heated that Cycling Australia has refused to transfer previous trademarks, including the iconic green and gold jersey, to AusCycling, hence the new jersey design. Here's hoping they can get it sorted out, and return the green and gold to it's rightful place on the Australian champion's shoulders.
