Following Edan Hurless’s 2nd place on the Tour of the Ganges, Lindfield Locknuts allowed three riders a welcome retirement: home trained climbing super domestique Wim Verheijen; touring leadout Robbie Oosterbaan and climbing domestique Halbert Miles who finished his career here.
Slightly younger sprinter Jude Carter has been brought in from SpeedyB, and perhaps most significantly a young prospect has finished training and just returned from the French time trial school. He is Norwegian Terje Dale who turned 23 earlier this season. He has been trained specifically with climbing tours in mind, one or two especially. Time will tell if it was worth it.
