Teammanager Petsoc was bitterly disappointed after the final stage: "I’ll hold back, otherwise people here might learn a lot of new words they’d rather not learn. Here’s a summary of what happened to us during this stage race:
In Stage 1, Raphael Bacillieri—our best time-trialist—suffered from a mechanical issue. In Stage 2, captain Inge Bouwens had an off day. In Stage 3, he was caught in a minor crash and in Stage 4, he was involved in a major one and sustained an injury.
The result: we had big plans, but it has been one big disaster. The only thing I can do right now is asking my mum for help :(
