BGK camped in Japan for the Tour of the Sanreizan this week. Ian Barone was the winner of the YC (our first jersey ever) in season 45. Although he was not our captain. He managed to get small results in the sprinting stages. Because of that he managed to finish 6th in the SC. "I'm happy with the shape for the moment. I'm not yet in top form but it is great that I can finish in the top 9 of the SC for the first time in the history of BGK Cycling Team." said Ian.
Pasquale Lalsimbra was the captain for the GC but Junee Racing Team and Driehoek dominated the race and it was hard to get a good result. "I finished 8th in the GC as the first rider not from Junee Racing Team and Driehoek. That is crazy! But I look forward to the next races. I might be in top form and you never know what happens then" said the former winner of the Monte Rosa Tour.
Thibault Quenemer rode his first tour and managed to finish 5th in the YC. He said: "I was here to work for Pasquale and to gain experience for later." Tacticman was satisfied with the results. "We had a top 9 in all stages and managed to get 1 podium in the stages. TotS was not a big goal so we can be satisfied" he said.
