We didnt have any retirements during last 2 seasons, but this season we have Regis Hollandts who decided to end his career after 242 races with our team.
Regis was a very primising rider when he was young and upon signing him we have hoped he will lead our team in the DH races and achieve great results. However life proved differently - Regis never managed to develop fully and the only outstanding skill he possesed was the bravery on the descents. He therefore became the downhill guide, first for Orlando Kacciavurian, later for Yannis Van Haershot and recently for Nick Funder.
Regis never finished in top 10, but he also never seemed to care about the results. He knew his place in the peloton and was just enjoying his life on a bike, travelling around the world and descending fast from some big mountains.
He often said: sometimes simple things are enough to make you happy.
