Pawel Urbanowicz has retired after spending 14 seasons with the team.
Pawel joned the team in S43 when our cobble captain was Julian Cichocki. He was supposed to help Julian achieve some more results, but next two seasons showed that Julian has his best years already behind him and at 32yo was not able to compete on the highest level.
From S45 it was Bernard Kozak who started sharing the capitancy role in cobbles. The first example of good cooperation between Bernard and Pawel was S46 Criterium Qiantong, where they both got into a breakaway, Pawel worked hard for Bernard and in the end Bernard won and Pawel was 8th.
In the same race in S49 they did the same tihng by getting on a breakaway together. This time they didnt have the legs to finish off the attack, they ended up 7th and 8th, but with Julian Cichocki bringing on the peloton on 9th place it meant the team had 3 riders in top 9!
From this point Pawel was given more and more free roles in the races and he soon proved to be one of the most succesful breakaway riders in AnnoDomini history. In his career he won 4 races, all from breakaways, the most notable of them being the Div 2 classic Minsk CBGP.
The team would like to thank Pawel for all those years of racing and wish him all the best in his future plans, whatever they are.

I will use it for his biography definitely.
As it comes to trainers, I already have a CB trainer (Cichocki). Dont need another one. I will change trainers in S62, once their 10-year contracts expire.
This press release could be used as biography too! ;-)
Fun stories in the text! A few days ago I was thinking if it‘s possible that two riders of the same team could be in a successful BA. Here we have the answer :-)
And why not hiring him as a trainer?
Yeah, 2 BAs + Captain 9th :-)
It was a memorable one, so wanted to include it in the story here.
7, 8 and 9 in one race. So cool, never seen that before.
