Time flies really fast. I have just prepared pancakes with my older son few minutes ago and now I look at the watch and it is already midnight… Season 53 has come to an end, so I started to write a summary – but I now see it is already day 5 of Season 54…
Anyway, my stats say Season 53 was the 2nd best in AnnoDomini team history. We have scored 2040 points, only 86pts shy of our record set in S39. We had 4 wins and 14 results, only once in the past we had more. I know that for some of the teams this is what they achieve in first 20 days of the season, but for me it is huge.
The wins came from:
- Gustaw Banas, our best point scorer once again, who won Bytom-Katowice for the 2nd time in his career;
- Pawel Urbanowicz, who surprised us with 2 breakaway wins this season in Itabuna-Ilheus and Kroz Biser Jadrana;
- Denis Halas, who won Volta ao Porto YC classification and added a jersey to our palmares.
A total of 7 riders got results this season which just proves we have a strong overall team, capable of reaching podiums in many types of races.
As it comes to the rider changes, Bernard Kozak has retired, but thanks to the golden era of sponsors we have managed to find and train new talents quicker than ever before.
Firstly we completed training Arnaldo Olaio who turned out to be a decent climber, but will probably remain a team mate for some time now. We then trained Kajetan Krawczyk, who has become a very good cobbler with some hill skills. He will surely become our captain in some races soon. Currently we are trying to complete training of another cobbler Slawomir Lukaszewski.
We have also finally found two riders with Very good Downhill potential. First of them, Kurt Qvist, sadly stopped developing just after a few training camps. We are now putting our hopes on to Max Caetano – maybe he will be able to develop well enough to lead the team in some DH races in future.
As always, we dont have any particular plans for S54. Simply keep the fully self-trained EU riders-only team and just have fun racing.
Happy summer and happy racing everyone!

Well done.
Congrats on a great season! Hopefully Caetano maxes high and will be able to take over the DH captaincy. And good luck for season 54!
