2 wins and 8 results is what the team was able to accomplish in S49 – neither a great result, nor a big fail. The 2 wins came from Jorg Meyer and Gustaw Banas, who were clearly the strongest riders in the team.
In terms of riders our veteran sprinter Floriano Moutinho has ended his career with 6 wins and 18 results in his pocket. We will miss him as he was a strong rider on his own, as well as a great helper to our cobble squad. Fortunately we have found a new cobble talent who will fill that spot after Floriano and we will hope his training goes well.
As always we are not setting any particular goals for season 50 in terms of races, but will go with the flow. We have a broad range of different riders, so will not be focusing entirely on one captain. We just hope we can finisz training Denis Halas quickly and then focus on the French CB talent.
Few words about the points scorers:
Jorg Meyer, 620pts
Best scoring rider with a win in Clasica Guayaquil and a 3rd place at Vuelta a Valparaiso GC being his best achievements. It is a 3rd time in a row he gets into top 9 in that tour soi f we stay in div2 he will try to get it for the 4th time. He remains out captain for CL/HL races.
Gustaw Banas, 410pts
We feel he could have done a bit better, but happy he got a win in Albacete – Madrid, where he was 3rd last time. Remains our captain for CL/TT races and CL tours.
Bernard Kozak, 240pts
2nd place in Prague – Liberec plus a couple of 7-9 places. He is 32yo, but will have to lead the team in some CB races until new French talent is fully trained.
Orlando Kacciavurian, 230pts
That was the last season for Orlando in captain’s seat for DH races. 2nd place in Bielsko Biala – Zakopane was probably his last result and we will not try to ride with Yannis Van Haershot and perhaps Jurre Bekkers as the DH captains. We are also trying to find a decent DH talent all the time.
Jurre Bekkers, 110pts
We tried him as a captain in Juberri-Canolic, which does not require SP, and he was 6th. He will get a few more chances probably until Yannis gets older and gains more experience.
Pawel Urbanowicz, 50pts
Regular helper in the CB races who sometimes has a chance for a breakaway and this i show he gains some points. But we have triggered his top form by mistake at the beggining of the Season 50, so he will have a Chance to captain one or two races soon.
Floriano Moutinho, 40pts and Julian Cichocki, 30pts
Floriano retired at the end of the season and Julian will retire probably this season. Two great riders who got 6 wins + 18-20 results each for the team. We now simply hope that new talents which are being trained will match their level. Fingers crossed!

Forgot to add that according to tradition we will be changing the jersey colours to match the country of our best scoring rider - and that was Jorg Meyer, hence black, red and yellow jersey for season 50.
