S71 Review

Written by Amstel Flanders at 14:32 22/1-2025

Hello there, welcome to the most exciting moment of the season, when we all take a look back on what had happened in the last 90 days of Cycling.

The season was a disaster. Moreover, here at Amstel Flanders got the feeling of being robbed unarmed. Medgaard was stripped off his third Down Under tour by a lame disappointing rider without Top form, when it’s supposed those people can’t win GC at all. We lost many points finishing a place or two behind our previous finishes in the past season, around 350 points.

Alas, the Training was decent but it could have been better. Evjen will be replacing Normann as the old Greenlander star has retired this past season despite a shy call from other teams with some weakness for veterans. He will remain part of our history and success of the last 3 seasons.

Nowadays, Pinhal, Lindbergh and Sønderby are disconnected from racing, hopefully this season will be better (it has started with a win in our first race, for the first time ever).

Time to check our captain’s performance throughout the season.

Lazy numbers and a poor performance. The three main riders will rest in the beginning of the season and De Fauw and fresh flat road trainee Evjen will handle the team leadership for the first 30 days of the season. Our market activity was nule, beside a cheap bargain with Dutch Wolters. Veterans Normann and Carrara retired at the end of S71, bringing a much needed cash income.

Here you can see the moves in the transfer market.

  Out

Greenland Hermann Normann - 157k (Retired)
Italy Raphael Carrara - 31k (Retired)
