After 18 hours of flight and overcoming the natural jet lag, staff is setting all the bikes ready and our trainers develop our training program and strategies for the incoming race.
At this time of the year, winds are surely a thing to be worried, also the potential line up. Normann will be again the Road Captain of the team, approaching his great skills and huge race experience to ensure a good morale boost for Sønderby.
Our riders have been training the last 4 days around McLaren Vale area, with enough hilly and long flat roads to replicate the race conditions we will find the next weekend. Emil has accepted a slight change of his preparation in order to reach a later peak and it means he will not participate in Grasse – Toulon this season. The Danish cyclist skipped Perm Tour as well, his main warm up race in the last two seasons and save a lot of energies for the coming races.
No major incidents in the training camp so far, but a couple off days from Karantirov and Lindberg. The cyclists are really doing their best to make the final 6s cut.
