Conan Guillot, Canadian Nippon , was the fastest rider among the participants in the individual time trial race, (Stage 1 of Giro di Sicilia). Conan Guillot was incredible fast on the final kilometres, as he was only second at the last split time. Infront of him was A Siberia's Marius Bostrup who became second overall on the stage. Another interesting name was Parker Lawson from Dodge who started out with an incredible tempo, which he of course couldn't keep going. He lost many important seconds on the second part of the route, which moved him to the third place overall.
I'm very happy for my win today. It means a lot to me, said Conan Guillot and continued: I couldn't have done this without my team. I can't thank them enough.
Canadian Nippon 's manager, Robert Bouchard, was satisfied after the result. Conan Guillot did very well today. Everything turned out as we planned it, and Conan Guillot had the power to win, said the manager.
