Victory for Freek Fossaert

Many climbs, a sunny day and several attacks shaped the race in Bangor Climbs. One after another, the riders tried to break away from the main group, though no one could succeed.
When the final climb was near, Bilsky and Timoteo Manderiaga made sure no one could attack by setting a high tempo in the lead. At the end of the climb, only the strongest climbers were in front. With 1.5 kilometres to go, (Rabobank ProCycling) launched an attack, which Timoteo Manderiaga (nao) and Freek Fossaert (Bilsky) easily countered.
Alastair O'Neal lost Timoteo Manderiaga's wheel when the sprint was launched, and Freek Fossaert had a close sprint with Timoteo Manderiaga. Freek Fossaert was the fastest in the sprint, leaving Timoteo Manderiaga only a few inches behind. Alastair O'Neal, who had no power left for the sprint, secured his third place only 3 seconds later.
Today's stage fit well for me - I simply had to try my luck. And see what happened?, said a smiling Freek Fossaert. The winner had no other comments, he quickly went to the team bus in order to celebrate the win.
Bilsky's manager, Deano, was satisfied after the result in Bangor Climbs. Freek Fossaert did very well today. Everything turned out as we planned it, and Freek Fossaert had the power to win, said the manager.
