Three riders attacked on the stage of Nardò - Nardò after 64 km. The riders were good at cooperating until 15 km before the ending of the stage. Rolo Corral from iheb pro team could not follow Driscoll Tiernan (Silenzio) and Thøger Iversen (Gifflar World Team) who increased the speed. The two leading riders launched the sprint, which Thøger Iversen had completely under control. Thøger Iversen won the stage with Driscoll Tiernan right behind him. Rolo Corral, who couldn't keep the high tempo of the other two kept this third place.
Thøger Iversen didn't hide his happiness for winning the stage. I have dreamed of this for long. My result today proves that hard training is worth it, said the cheerful winner, who yet has no current plans for the next race to strike at.
The stage couldn't turn out any better than this. Thøger Iversen did a perfect job today, said Mikkel , manager of Gifflar World Team, after the race.
