Solstafir had the race under control as Plasencia - Plasencia was about to be terminated in a tough sprint. The supporting riders of Gunnar Viðarsson made the job easy for him, and he managed to claim the victory safely. Solstafir's Gunnar Viðarsson didn't hide his joy when winning the Plasencia - Plasencia. It's incredible. I didn't expect this at all. I just wanted to try, I aimed for being 5th or 6th, but suddenly I was in the lead! said the happy winner.
The manager of Solstafir was proud of his rider today. Gunnar Viðarsson has been training and preparing himself for this race. It's an important victory - both for Gunnar Viðarsson but also for the team.
