Maxime Devaux was the fastest rider in the peloton when Fuji to Tokyo (Stage 5 of Tour of the Sanreizan) was coming to an end. Maxime Devaux speeded up and managed to get several meters ahead of the competitors in the ordinary sprint. Behind him was Jurgen Devenyns, TimmoCC, struggling with Bjorn Segeren from Svalbard Trek. Bjorn Segeren saw his competitor get across the finishing line only a few miliseconds before himself, while both of them could only watch while Maxime Devaux raised his hands for the victory.
My legs felt good today, so when the end was near, I gave it everything I had, said Maxime Devaux after winning the 5th. My team supported me well, they helped me sitting in the perfect position for a sprint.
