The tough and steep time trial, Cima di Blockhaus TT, was very exciting, as nothing was termined before the final riders finished. Angelo Deferme (Team Guy) set the best time when he finished the stage, while Ksawery Jagodzi?ski (Drollevangers) came in only a few seconds slower. As everyone thought Angelo Deferme would win, the split times suddenly showed that one of the last 5 riders had the possibility of winning. Josias Marroquín of Team Guy ended up beating Angelo Deferme with no more than 5 seconds, which insured him the stage win on the steep time trial.
Josias Marroquín wasn't surprised after winning Cima di Blockhaus TT. I simply knew I could do it. I felt good all day, and I gave everything I had, said the confident winner.
It's good to see Josias Marroquín fulfilling his ambitions winning this stage. He deserves the victory more than anyone else, said the proud manager of Team Guy, Guy Pakeman.
