Stage 7 of Volta ao Porto was exciting all the way through. Several riders tried their luck on the climbs, yet the stage were to be terminated by a leading group of climbers. Early on the climb, Calle Tijs (de stamper) launched an attack, and he managed to get away alone. No one could match Calle Tijs's tempo, as he drove to the top without any threats. The rest of the climbers stayed together in a group, where Angelo Deferme (Team Guy) secured his second place right in front of Freek Fossaert (Bilsky).
Calle Tijs was happy for his efforts today. It was a tough day today, but with the result of it, it suddenly feels like nothing. I'm so happy I won today. I didn't expect it at all, said the pleased winner.
de stamper's manager, rcgz, was satisfied after the result on the 7th of Volta ao Porto. Calle Tijs did very well today. Everything turned out as we planned it, and Calle Tijs had the power to win, said the manager.
