Shadow of the Annapurna gets settled by Saynakhonevieng Vongphakdy

The many climbs in Shadow of the Annapurna didn't give any good ideas for the riders. No riders attacked the entire stage through. When the final climb was near, the strongest riders settled themselves in front of the peloton. PetrolGas took a confident lead, supporting Saynakhonevieng Vongphakdy. The devistating tempo set by PetrolGas crushed rider by rider. When Saynakhonevieng Vongphakdy ran out of supporting riders, he had only 3 other competitors to beat. One of them, Berten Ponsaert (sv racing united), launched a quick attack and managed to sit a lone in front for a short time. He only had Saynakhonevieng Vongphakdy and Voravut Sangsanoi (Trim Trust Energy) behind him now. Berten Ponsaert could not keep the tempo high, and eventually, both Saynakhonevieng Vongphakdy and Voravut Sangsanoi passed him by.
Voravut Sangsanoi launched the sprint, but Saynakhonevieng Vongphakdy outrunned him and became the winner.
The climbs today were tough, but I felt good all day, said Saynakhonevieng Vongphakdy after winning. I loved the ending of the stage. It was when I saw the ending of the route I knew that I could win. It was perfect for me.
It's good to see Saynakhonevieng Vongphakdy fulfilling his ambitions winning this stage. He deserves the victory more than anyone else, said the proud manager of PetrolGas, Petri, and continued: The team was a good support for him (Saynakhonevieng Vongphakdy) today, and he clearly proved his worth in the break away today.
