Team Lewis and Clark in front; David Nikolayev wins

Early on the stage, five optimistic riders attacked on the first climbs of Vrhovine Climbs. They managed to keep a gap between them and the peloton until they reached the final climb. At the bottom of the climb, the group of favourites passed them. Rider by rider, they couldn't keep up with the tempo set by Team Naundrup, who were supporting Markus Laumark. Right behind the riders of Team Naundrup was David Nikolayev and Folke Hedberg lurking. Markus Laumark looked strong, and seemed to have a good day, but when Folke Hedberg launched an attack, only David Nikolayev could follow. David Nikolayev made a counter-attack and was suddenly alone in the front, as Markus Laumark caught up Folke Hedberg once again. David Nikolayev secured his victory without problems, while Markus Laumark was faster in the sprint than Folke Hedberg.
The climbs today were tough, but I felt good all day, said David Nikolayev after winning. I loved the ending of the stage. It was when I saw the ending of the route I knew that I could win. It was perfect for me.
Team Lewis and Clark's manager, Topher, was satisfied after the result in Vrhovine Climbs. David Nikolayev did very well today. Everything turned out as we planned it, and David Nikolayev had the power to win, said the manager.
