Stage win for Jørn Walter

Early on the stage, five optimistic riders attacked on the first climbs of Salamanca GP. They managed to keep a gap between them and the peloton until they reached the final climb. At the bottom of the climb, the group of favourites passed them. Rider by rider, they couldn't keep up with the tempo set by JCR Phoenix, who were supporting Donald Levendosky. Right behind the riders of JCR Phoenix was Jørn Walter and Marciano Hanori lurking. Donald Levendosky looked strong, and seemed to have a good day, but when Marciano Hanori launched an attack, only Jørn Walter could follow. Jørn Walter made a counter-attack and was suddenly alone in the front, as Donald Levendosky caught up Marciano Hanori once again. Jørn Walter secured his victory without problems, while Donald Levendosky was faster in the sprint than Marciano Hanori.
Today's stage fit well for me - I simply had to try my luck. And see what happened?, said a smiling Jørn Walter. The winner had no other comments, he quickly went to the team bus in order to celebrate the win.
It's good to see Jørn Walter fulfilling his ambitions winning this stage. He deserves the victory more than anyone else, said the proud manager of Maglia Nera, MRH, and continued: The team was a good support for him (Jørn Walter) today, and he clearly proved his worth in the break away today.
