Drahomír Slovák closes deal

Even though several riders tried to break away, no one managed to keep it going on the 6th stage of Odyssey of the Oryx. The strongest riders in the peloton stayed together in the leading group. The finishing climb became a secretion of riders, until Drahomír Slovák (Lokomotíva Zvolen) and Jurgen Devenyns (TimmoCC) were alone in the front. As it looked as they were heading for a sprint on the top, Jurgen Devenyns suddenly could follow Drahomír Slovák who climbed the final kilometre alone. The audience cheered as Drahomír Slovák crossed the line with his arms raised high. Jurgen Devenyns came in a little later as second. The third place were terminated by a group of 4 who sprinted a long. Kjell Steffensen was fastest in the group, and safely took the third place.
I'm still surprised that I could do this. Only when I was getting near the finishing line I realized that I had the chance of winning, said a shocked, but happy, Drahomír Slovák and continues: I owe my team a big thank for their great support today. Without them, this couldn't be possible.
Lokomotíva Zvolen's manager, Pierre Mrazique, was satisfied after the result on the 6th of Odyssey of the Oryx. Drahomír Slovák did very well today. Everything turned out as we planned it, and Drahomír Slovák had the power to win, said the manager.
