Perfect debut for Gabriel Tsakati

The many climbs in Hot Springs - Chimanimani (U23) didn't give any good ideas for the riders. No riders attacked the entire stage through. When the final climb was near, the strongest riders settled themselves in front of the peloton. Broderbergbund took a confident lead, supporting Gabriel Tsakati. The devistating tempo set by Broderbergbund crushed rider by rider. When Gabriel Tsakati ran out of supporting riders, he had only 3 other competitors to beat. One of them, Santiago Valentin (Bor Gullet Cycling), launched a quick attack and managed to sit a lone in front for a short time. He only had Gabriel Tsakati and Dieter Schenck (TTT) behind him now. Santiago Valentin could not keep the tempo high, and eventually, both Gabriel Tsakati and Dieter Schenck passed him by.
Dieter Schenck launched the sprint, but Gabriel Tsakati outrunned him and became the winner.
I'm happy the team picked me for the stage. I knew I could do it (win), and I wanted to prove it as well, said the happy winner who continued with a smile on his face: My preparations were perfect, I had a perfect day, and I won!.
The stage couldn't turn out any better than this. Gabriel Tsakati did a perfect job today, said Broder, manager of Broderbergbund, after the race.
