Endre Meling wins in El Limón GP

With lovely weather in Venezuela, all the riders were ready to do their best in El Limón GP - and som certainly did. Ulises Gavaldon from Cycling and kebab went away from the peloton after only 14 km.
The peloton kept the tempo high, and Ulises Gavaldon slowly lost his lead. When the peloton reached him, after 14 2 km, Endre Meling (SupperSoppene) and Henk Houtman (Cyclists) launched a counter attack. Ulises Gavaldon's first attempt didn't stop him from joining the break away, which afterwards slowly increased the lead.
When 10 km of the stage were left, the three riders in the break away were quite sure to go all the way to the finishing line alone. Their thoughts later became doubts, as the peloton got closer and closer. On the final kilometre, the 3 riders could see the peloton behind them, as they gave everything they could.
Henk Houtman launched an attack, which Ulises Gavaldon easily countered despite his hard work on the stage. For Endre Meling it was a littler harder to follow, but later he simply proved to be faking. Henk Houtman couldn't follow the new tempo set by Endre Meling, and neither could Ulises Gavaldon. Endre Meling safely sprinted to victory and raised his arms while crossing the finishing line. Behind him, about the length of two bikes away, Ulises Gavaldon was slightly faster than Henk Houtman, who seemed to have no more power left after trying to attack earlier.
I'm happy the team picked me for the stage. I knew I could do it (win), and I wanted to prove it as well, said the happy winner who continued with a smile on his face: My preparations were perfect, I had a perfect day, and I won!.
Mestersopp, manager of SupperSoppene, was happy with the result: The whole team did well today. Everything turned out as we hoped, and luckily, Endre Meling was the strongest rider out there today. The proud manager didn't hide that he was satisfied with Endre Meling's result. Endre Meling did well. No one deserved the victory more than him. He put his focus on this stage long ago, and he kept his motivation high. I'm happy for him and the team, said Mestersopp.
