Gerold Schnaars's first stage win

Many climbs, a sunny day and several attacks shaped the race in Salta - San Salvador de Jujuy. One after another, the riders tried to break away from the main group, though no one could succeed.
When the final climb was near, Team Greenthumb and Robert Bocharov made sure no one could attack by setting a high tempo in the lead. At the end of the climb, only the strongest climbers were in front. With 1.5 kilometres to go, (EKs legender) launched an attack, which Robert Bocharov (Wolverini4 Bank) and Gerold Schnaars (Team Greenthumb) easily countered.
Clement Toftager lost Robert Bocharov's wheel when the sprint was launched, and Gerold Schnaars had a close sprint with Robert Bocharov. Gerold Schnaars was the fastest in the sprint, leaving Robert Bocharov only a few inches behind. Clement Toftager, who had no power left for the sprint, secured his third place only 3 seconds later.
I'm happy the team picked me for the stage. I knew I could do it (win), and I wanted to prove it as well, said the happy winner who continued with a smile on his face: My preparations were perfect, I had a perfect day, and I won!.
Team Greenthumb's manager, DrGreenthumb, was satisfied after the result in Salta - San Salvador de Jujuy. Gerold Schnaars did very well today. Everything turned out as we planned it, and Gerold Schnaars had the power to win, said the manager.
