SpeTeam's Ulrico Paredes defeated his nearest competitors when the peloton arrived at the finishing line in Port Louis - Port Louis. Gomes Domingos from SpeTeam opened the sprint with Ulrico Paredes right behind him, though Gomes Domingos had no chance to follow his competitors when Ulrico Paredes boosted ahead. Ulrico Paredes won the stage only a few inches ahead of SpeTeam's Boudewijn Diggele who took the second place. Gomes Domingos barely held his position as third.
Ulrico Paredes was happy for his victory in Port Louis - Port Louis. I've trained a lot and aimed to win this race, and now suddenly it happened! said the satisfied winner.
The stage couldn't turn out any better than this. Ulrico Paredes did a perfect job today, said Fmbo, manager of SpeTeam, after the race.
